SCUNTHORPE and District athlete Dan Harmes returned from the Sheffield Festival of Athletics with a gold medal in the pole vault.
The festival is one of the biggest open meetings in the area and Harmes, primarily a 100m sprinter, swept away his under-20 competition.
Harmes had to retire at 2.80m with the gold medal in the bag however, having come down Marni Bags Replica heavily on the bar with his back.
a metre higher in training, with a personal best of 3.74m, so will be hoping to go a lot higher in the near future.
In the 100m Harmes finished sixth and just short of his season's best, while triple jump star Josh Bones showed his speed on the track with a 12.35secs seventh-placed finish.
Michelle Spacey took a bronze medal in the senior women's 800m in a time of 2mins 45.24secs and Gary Spacey finished sixth in the men's equivalent with a time of 2mins 30.6secs.

There was Clip on charms also success for under-20 sprinter Dominic Green at the first Humberside Track League meeting of the season at Grimsby.
Clerc Watch ReplicaGreen continued to show his improvement this year by winning the 100m and 200m, finishing just a tenth of a second short of his best in the 200m.
There was also a double success for Rachel Fisk in the senior women's 200m and 800m.
