Harmes shines in Sheffield fes

SCUNTHORPE and District athlete Dan Harmes returned from the Sheffield Festival of Athletics with a gold medal in the pole vault.

The festival is one of the biggest open meetings in the area and Harmes, primarily a 100m sprinter, swept away his under-20 competition.

Green continued to show his improvement this year by winning the 100m and 200m, finishing just a tenth of a second short of his best in the 200m.
