IT IS just over a year since she was attacked by anti-drugs campaigners for allegedly snorting cocaine.

Now Kate Moss is again under fire - for her taste in clothes.

The 32-year-old supermodel is being targeted by anti-fur organisations.

She is repeatedly photographed in elegant outfits which appear to be made from animal pelts.

Only last week she stepped out in New York for a benefit auction clad in a luxurious shaggy black jacket which looked suspiciously like real fur.

And groups fear that wherever Miss Moss leads, others will follow.

The World Society for the Protection of Animals has written her a letter, pleading with her to boycott fur. Their call has been echoed by both the RSPCA and the Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade.

In particular, she has drawn criticism in her role as the face of Burberry, which has refused to abandon fur in its collections.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA, has launched an Internet site, Bloody-Burberry.com, featuring dead animalssuperimposed on images of models.

PETA spokesman Yvonne Taylor said: 'As the high-profile face of this company, Kate falls into this.
