All-American Soap Box Derby Ex

More than 500 youngsters and their families will be in Akron, Ohio, for a week of activities leading up to the 73rd All-American Soap Box Tag heuer replica Derby at Derby Downs on Saturday, July 24, according to a release.

Boys and girls between the ages of eight and 17 have earned the trip to Akron by winning local Soap Box Derby competition in their gravity-powered race cars. They will travel from 40 states in the United States, as well as Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Japan, and Guam.

Veteran Hollywood actor/director Corbin Bernsen is producing a movie based on the Soap Box Derby and will be shooting scenes for "25 Hill" at the All-American championships on July 24

VISUALS/INTERVIEWS: Each day's activities will provide a range of opportunities to photograph or videotape boys and girls as they arrive in Akron, work on their race cars and experience the excitement of competing on the world-famous Derby Downs track. Interviews can be arranged with participants, their families and with officials of the All-American Soap Box Derby organization.
