Humane Society sets 'Woofstock

POCATELLO -- Bannock Humane Society presents "Woofstock" July 10 at the Humane Society's location at 850 Barton Road, Pocatello.

All kinds of events will be going on throughout the day and the public is welcome to "flashback to fun." There will be bands performing, great grub, pet competitions, a chance to win funky raffle prizes and groovy giveaways for fourlegged friends. Wear your '60s threads!

Pets can be adopted from noon to 4 p.m., and hot dogs and burgers will be served all day. Afternoon events start about 2 p.m. and go on to 6 p.m. At this time there will be such things as a blessing of the animals, registration and contests that include a Pet and Parent makeup brush Look-Alike , Super Sixties Costume, hottest cool dog tricks, a Mutt lingerie wholesale Strut dog parade/fashion show, face painting for kids and more.

From 6 to 9 p.m., there will be performances by the live bands, a silent auction and raffle drawings. Beer and wine will be available. Dogs are welcome but must be spayed/neutered and on a leash. Humans, bring a blanket.
